Smith Painting Industries, since 1986, has provided top-notch quality and service unsurpassed in the industry. If our name is on your project, you will know you are getting the best quality and service you can expect.
Smith Painting Industries was established in 1986 by Brett Smith. We have almost 40 years of experience specializing in commercial and interior/exterior residential painting.
We are a member of the Better Business Bureau and have been a member of The San Antonio Apartment Association since 1987.
We are fully insured with worker’s compensation, auto, and liability insurance.
Smith Painting Industries has developed a strong reputation over the years for our professionalism in handling difficult projects in high traffic areas demanding extreme care and quality of the highest level. We’ve completed various business projects that could not be shut down and required special coordination and scheduling. Some of those include San Antonio Zoo, United Health Systems, H-E-B, Prologis, Entrada Partners, Corpus Christi Real Estate Management, CBRE, and many more throughout our tenure.
The key to our success has been retaining quality conscientious and professional painters that accommodate all your needs. We have a staff of approximately 22 experienced painters. Most of them have been with our company for over five years.
Meet the Team
Brett Smith
Brett Smith is the President of Smith Painting Industries, a division of SPC Contracting, LLC.
Brett attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree and majored in Political Science, Public Administration, and Psychology.
While he attended college those four years he worked full time in the summer for a commercial painting company in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin. He received some valuable painting skills that would serve him well in the future. Brett’s father is an artist in Wisconsin which may be where Brett’s artistic talent and love of painting began.
Brett attributes his success to earning the trust of customers and referrals by providing high-quality painting while tailoring the project for each client.
Michael Smith
Michael Smith is the son of Brett Smith and is our Field Supervisor and Project Coordinator.
Michael began working with the company in the last few years and has become a great asset. He is hardworking and professional and will most likely be your point of contact on commercial projects.
“When I was young I enjoyed riding with my Dad to different project sites. I liked seeing a building in need of repair be transformed into something remarkable. I had been working with my Dad for about 2 months when he took me to a 15 story high rise. He looked at me and said you will be in charge of running this project on Monday morning. I was glad about the experience. I have gained knowledge and confidence in the field and really like what I do.”
Desiree Anderson
Desiree Anderson is the daughter of Brett Smith and oversees all Administrative and Business Operations for Smith Painting Industries. Desiree has more than ten years of experience in the administrative world. Desiree came on board after working several years at iHeart Media where she gained extensive communication and office management skills working with various CEOs in different management departments. Taking the leap to come on board full time in 2017, Desiree now oversees all scheduling, accounting, insurance, record keeping, payroll, calendar management, and coordinating projects for the business. Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking, Desiree is eager to see where the future of Smith Painting Industries is going and be an integral part of that success. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
Tanner Neves
Tanner Neves is our newest addition to our team. Tanner is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Engineering. Tanner brings some valuable experience with analytics when dealing with complicated projects that require high-rise equipment usage.
